Totally agree. Wearables probably are the future, but it’s too early to tell what form factor will dominate, or when they will really become mainstream – battery life and usability in particular will take some time to reach a level that is acceptable to the mass market. But when they do take-off, they’ll need a different interaction model to todays smartphone apps – speech recognition will be a key part of the user experience.
Banks looking to plan for the future, one that may necessitate a Google Glass or smartwatch app, would be wise to design a multichannel strategy that is agile enough to move with the market.
