A beautiful and fascinating film about the last scissor manufacturer in Sheffield, England. Sheffield used to be the centre of British steel production, known for cutlery and other steel products, but most of that is now gone. Firms like Ernest Wright deserve to survive, as we lose something terribly important if we lose the the skills they keep alive. Their handmade products with history and provenance should find a small but healthy market against mass-produced products. The film is almost guaranteed to make you want to buy a pair of their scissors:
