The second Google TV box. This just re-affirms my view that Google TV is just too complicated to become mass-market. I can’t Imagine my wife or parents ever wanting, understanding, buying or using this, which I think is a good yardstick for mass adoption. Anything that needs a qwerty keyboard in the TV room will fail.

As I’ve said before, this really is a solution looking for a market, and I doubt it will find one. Just because we can have Internet on our TV doesn’t mean we should. A case of filling a non-existent niche?

Apple TV may sell better, but again it won’t be mass market. The space behind my TV is already a frightening jumble of cables – another box is not the answer.
