iOS 5 Boasts ‘Quake Alert’ Warnings for Japanese Users | Cult of Mac

Great idea if true (and hats-off to Apple for making the effort). At first I thought why not just use SMS or Notifications, but of course they can be delayed if traffic is high, which wouldn’t be very useful here.
