Here’s a novel business model. I can’t remember the last time I read an article about or even a mention of Google TV – it seems to have disappeared from view. Given the complexity of the thing, and the fact it seemed to launch in Beta state, that’s no surprise, as I’ve said before.
Maybe Google will re-launch the thing (in similar fashion to Apple and the Apple TV), or maybe it will do a ‘Wave’. Given the importance of TV to Google’s business model, I’d bet on a re-launch.
