I’d never underestimate Google, but this article and Andy Rubin’s comments raise a coupe of thoughts:
1. I’d never underestimate Google, but Andy Rubin’s comment about Apps being usable across different Android device classes (“Fundamentally you shouldn’t have to have a third-party developer build his app twice.”) seems to be wilfully ignoring the reality of screen sizes and input methods. If Android Tablets are to be successful they’ll need purpose-built apps.
2. The Verge is unfortunately becoming overrun with the same fanboy-ism that made Engadget and other sites such a sad place to read tech news.
