This seems strange to me. Given the difficult state that RIM are in (falling revenues, market share, profit), if the sole reason for delaying BB10 devices is the availability of a “highly integrated dual-core LTE platform”, why not ship BB10 devices without LTE? Even if this “highly integrated” platform is power-efficient, I’d think it will still use more power than a 3G device, and LTE isn’t currently such a ‘must-have’ that it would hurt sales significantly.
