This article raises a good point about the new Facebook Camera app, and the question of whether multi-apps or multi-use apps are better. It’s an interesting point that people will probably end-up creating a Facebook folder for all these apps, and that will reduce app usage.
A compromise, and a way for Facebook to ensure they get the important ‘f’ on Homescreens Would be for Facebook to create a single app that has a landing page leading to each ‘virtual mini-app’. It’s a poor choice for usability but it’s no worse than people creating their own (unbranded) folder. It also makes for a large file size.
